Can't access System Restore

So I was using my Acer Aspire 3680 the other night and it crashed. I restart it, and it gets to the Acer screen (where you enter setup), and then it shuts down. I can't even access system restore, I press the button at startup, but it does nothing. I now have a a message telling me there is no OS. If I get a recovery disc from Acer, will it fix this, and will I be able to use it without the Recory button that you press at startup?

It is possible that the Acer recovery DVD will re-install. That is unknown.

Have you tried the recovery partition? On most systems, it is usually accessed by pressing the F10 key during boot-up.

Do you know if you have a recovery partition?
