Internet Crashes My Comp
Ok, I've been using a older model Sprint Sierra Wireless card to connect to the internet and do admittly a lot of downloading. None of this has been a problem up until recently when I am connected to the internet after 30 or so, maybe less at times, I get tha blue screen. I use a gateway and it never crashes no matter what if the aircard is not inserted in the USB drive but plugged in, Forget it. I took the aircard to sprint in which obviously they told me nothing was wrong with it and "updated the software" before returning it. Funny enough i thought it was the fact that the battery was swollen but after replacing the battery, same thing. Ive cleaned my comp and a variad of other "amateur" attempts to stop the crash but nothing. Suggestions?

Re: Internet Crashes My Comp
Ok so the best thing to find out the rest is to use msinfo32. To do this follow this
Start menu type "msinfo32" without quotes save it and attach it here under the advanced settings. MSDN support article this seems to be a hardware conflict like you said before. This seems to be the latest software. Its the Sprint SmartView for Windows® download on this site. Once I know some of your hardware I can go forward with more detailed questions, hopefully. |

Quote:
You need to update your system with Vista Service Pack 1 SP1 Readiness - do all after "SP1 Prep Work" http://www.techsupportforum.com/1952419-post8.html Be sure to run the SP1 Readiness Tool - the 2nd link in the above. The memory figure in RED is slowing your system down considerably. I suggest that you look into increasing your installed RAM from 1 GB to at least 2 GB. RAM is very inexpensive these days. Service Pack 1 first, though. Regards. . . jcgriff2 . Last edited by jcgriff2; 08-24-2009 at 05:18 PM. |
