windows 7 w/o cpu drivers or xp cd

yo guys so this whole windows seven thing is making me wanting to try it. the only problem is i dont have the "drivers cd" for my computer....or a windows xp cd for when windows seven comes out...because they start like shutting your comp down n stuff...so any ideas?

Hi -

You can run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

It is too late to evaluate Windows 7 for free as the 8 months of free trials are now over. You don't need the XP CD to install a retail version of Windows 7 that you purchase.

If your system came with XP, I would stay with XP unless you are 100% sure that you can obtain all device drivers.
