Vista slow downs, windows mail slow to boot
What's going on with this thing? Lately Windows Mail is sloooooooooow to boot. I also have intermittent unexplained freeze ups where the cpu is working like crazy on something but I don't know what. Any suggestions what to check? I've run Spybot search and destroy, Malicious software removal tool, Defender, Plus the excellent anti virus software from Embarq. I should mention I downloaded Explorer 8 recently. Also installed SP2 awhile ago.
This is a 2 year old Emachine system T5226 dual core and all that jazz

Re: Vista slow downs, windows mail slow to boot
try to press crtl alt del and turn on the task manager and see if you can tell what the cpu is working on.

Re: Vista slow downs, windows mail slow to boot
I don't see anything interfering with windows mail opening. Nor does anything show during those mysterious slowdowns.
