deleting history

I cannot delete links under the address bar. What i mean is, I can hit the down arrow to the right of the address bar and a speed test I tried 8 months ago shows up as a link. I have tried ccleaner blah blah blah and nothing works. I deleted all index files. Can anyone help?

Hi -

Try this -

START | inetcpl.cpl | "Browsing History" | "Delete" | check ALL boxes | click on "Delete" key at the bottom.

Also, take a look at this Registry key -

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
