Vista - Millions of errors in 1 go
hello all
My mum has a ACER aspire 8370G with windows vista home premium. on sat morning it was all working perfectly fine was left on and it went into hibernation. i turned it on earlyer today and it restarted from fresh and as soon as the logon screen was about to show i got a message winlogon.exe - Bad image C:\windows\system32\windowscodecs.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains errors. i press ok and it loads up logon screen as normal i sign in and i get more errors 1st - Windows - Bad Image Exception processing message oxc000007b parameters 0x759092A0 0x759092A0 0x759092A0 0x759092A0 2nd - dwm.exe - unable to locate component 3rd - MSASCUI.exe - unable to locate component And it does this same error for lots of exe files like google desktop and they all say because WININET.dll was not found ad some say because urlmon.dll was not found most programs wont load even windows programs like MSconfig wont even load. i tryed in safe mode and get all the same errors and there is no system restore points when there should be some as it is turned on. we have not installed anything in ages on the laptop and has been working fine. its protected by NOD32 antivirus and has spybot installed Hope you can help Ben Gilbey |

Re: Vista - Millions of errors in 1 go
Perform a Vista System Restore - choose a restore point prior to the trouble beginning -
START | type rstrui - choose restore point |

Bring up an administrative cmd/DOS prompt -
START | type cmd | RIGHT-click on cmd.exe above under programs - then type - Code:

Re: Vista - Millions of errors in 1 go
Use your Vista DVD to boot the system and perform a System Repair.
