Question New toshiba slow...

I just got my TOSHIBA computer yesterday july 29th, 2009. The thing that i don't get is that whenever i turn it on, it takes about 3-4 minutes to load up and i havent installed anything yet. The things that are installed are the toshiba programs and some of them are too large and are annoying. So i want to know if i can delete some of them One of the program that is large and i feel like deleting is... Windows driver Package-TOSHIBA (FwLnk) system..." it is 3.5 gbs large. My specs are...
RAM: 4GB
HDD: 500GB
Processor: Intel core 2 Duo P7350 (2.0GHz)
Video card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
Computer Model: TOSHIBA Satellite A505-S6965

So any help is appreciated to make my new laptop faster i gained 11.52 gb using Tune-up... So that was kinda helpful.
