Hey guys! I recently uninstalled Ubuntu (installed to Windows) but its still on the boot order. The boot order is however NOT GRUB so I am wondering how to remove it. Thanks!

Re: Removing ubuntu from Boot Order
Hi,
There is a file that lists the boot information, but I can't remember where it is. I am going to through this over to the windows folks as they will know what file I am talking about and know where it is. Cheers!

Re: Removing ubuntu from Boot Order Windows 7
At an administrative command prompt type:
BCDEDIT This will show you the operating systems that are configured in the bcd (boot configuration data). The bcd is used by the boot manager to display the boot entries you see on the screen when booting. The easiest ay to delete an entry is to use Easybcd from here: http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1. The bcdedit command can delete it but it is much more complicated and to be used only as a last resort. Last edited by pofolks; 07-19-2009 at 11:16 AM. |
