BSOD after AVG detected virus

I did a virus scan with AVG and it came back with an with a virus in system32 with a dll file...I tried to remove the file but it still kept popping up as virus detected...I decided to do a restart and see if that did anything but had the same issue but this time I couldnt open up certain programmes so I did another restart...after my login, the waiting to load screen stayed on for too long so I decided to do a manual restart by holding dow the power button...when the computer booted up I got the BSOD with STOP 0X000000F4 (running windows vista ultimate on a dell m1530)...I googled this code and people are saying this is a hardware issue but I havent made any changes to my hardware...Is there a way to fix the error and boot back into windows??

I can startup into safe mode/with networking without issues so Im not too sure what the problem is, can somebody please help?

Thanks

EDIT

When I start in safe mode, I get a pop up from the 'Check for Solutions' window with the following info:

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: f4
BCP1: 00000003
BCP2: 85C55BB8
BCP3: 85C55D04
BCP4: 82844400
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 256_1

it directs me to a minidump folder in the windows folder with a .dmp file in it which I have uploaded...Any ideas?

Help is much appreciated

Re: BSOD after AVG detected virus

hi this is what i found on your error code
0x0000004F: NDIS_INTERNAL_ERROR
(Click to consult the online MSDN article.)
This is a very rare error, indicating indicates an internal error in the Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) wrapper or an NDIS driver. Start by confirming that you have the best current driver for your network card. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, use the General Troubleshooting of STOP Messages checklist above.
i would also suggest you visit our security forum for help ensuring your virus is out of your system http://www.techsupportforum.com/secu...oval-help.html
