hi everybody
help please
I am using windows Vista and a message 'Cannot communicate with primary DNS server' keeps appearing.

I have selected "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" but it did not work. But sometimes when I unplug the internet cable and then replug it back in again, it sometimes changes to 'unidentified network' and the access is local only. Please help me solve this.

Open up a command prompt (Start > All Programs >Accessories > alternate click on Command Prompt > select "Run as Administrator"
Type the bolded commands into the command prompt window:

Reset WINSOCK entries: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset IPv4 TCP/IP: netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack: netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

When finished reboot
