Re: BSOD - Memory Dump

Hi -

Bugcheck 0x1a (0x5003,,,) = unknown severe memory management error

RAM, pagefile (hard drive) or driver are usual suspects

Run the batch script to gather system files - http://www.techsupportforum.com/1871981-post2.html

Run the driver verifier - http://www.techsupportforum.com/2110308-post3.html
Run memtest86+ - http://www.memtest.org/
Burn bootable ISO w/ ImgBurn - http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Run chkdsk /r from cmd line; re-boot to allow it to dismount volume

How old is your system?

Regards. . .

Thank you so much for your quick reply. It's not old at all, less than a year.

I'm running Memtest right now actually and getting a lot of failing addresses.

Looks like bad memory is the culprit?

Re: BSOD - Memory Dump

Most likely it is. Since it's less than a year old, it's likely that it's still under warranty.
I'd suggest you take it to the seller and ask them how to go about getting it fixed under warranty (mention that it failed the MemTest).

I agree with usasma - let the manufacturer fix it.

If you open it up you may void the warranty.
