Seeking help, Redirecting to different sites.
Greetings, sorry to pester.
I have been looking for help in many place but have had no luck, maybe I'm just not wording it right. What i need help with is, often "few times a day" i will try to go to a website, and it will load a different page. Oddly enough a webpage i have never been too. I have scanned with AVG and Adaware and found nothing more then tracking cookies. here is 2 images of what it does. ![]() and ![]() at this time its happening to twitter, but it often happens to Dishnetwork, Wowhead, Ebay. to name a few. I have never been to Weblogsinc before so im not sure why it is redirecting me there. I will also sometimes be sent to the google search page or just a google error page."sorry no screenshot" Here is some info about the pc I'm using. its a Gateway LX6810-01 With Vista 64bit sp1 i am connected to the net through my Vonage phone router which also goes through my linksys router. I am running AVG, Adaware and Vista Firewall control. Even if i try to connect to Twitter right now through Digsby i get an error that i am unable. which leads me to think its more then just Firefox and IE. Thank you kindly for your time and any help will be greatly appreciated. If anymore info is needed please let me know. Msneill |

Re: Seeking help, Redirecting to different sites.
hi the reason i directed you to the security forum is that as per the forum rules we are not allowed to work on virus or malware threads.I can only suggest you post your problem and what you have tried, and someone there can help you,i will say be patient as they can be very busy. in order to try to help you i will go over and ask someone to take a look but i cannot promise anything

Re: Seeking help, Redirecting to different sites.
Again thank you.
I have been tempted to just reformat being i have only had the pc for 2 months and there isn't all that much on it yet. I do want to point out that it has been going on for almost the whole 2 months. Oh also on a side often if i reboot it will go back to normal for a short time, and it only seems to do this to site i go to often. ![]() Many thanks for any help given. Re: Seeking help, Redirecting to different sites.
ok it appears form what iam told from the person i pm'd
Hi - Our tools don't work on 64bit OS, and many of us don't support them. I don't, as I don't run it, and can't effectively troubleshoot. Most infections can't take hold on a 64bit OS, running the resident protection in safe mode is generally enough. i suggest you clear your ie thats ie,tools, internet options and delete the history, cookies etc to hope this helps
