major problem!?
Right i'll start from the beginning... the first problem 'one day' when i had exited a game my screen went black and showed the message 'Not Optimum Mode. Recommended mode 1280 x 1024 60Hz'.
so i restarted my computer went into safe mode and realised that the resolution was already set to 1280x1024 60hz anyway??!! how weird is that! so i thought well its got to be something to do with my graphics card so i downloaded all the latest drivers... and the error message didnt show, now on start up HOWEVER it hangs for like 4 mins before loading the log in screen. also recently now when i start up it shows the blue screen of death, reading didnt shut down properly bla bla bla carrying out physical dump so on so on. then loads up normally. surely all this points to the graphics card? or does this scream out 're install windows' thanks for any help, i realise this is a bit of a basic description but will try to answer any questions Specs Nvidia 8800GT 4 gig of Corsair RAM Gigabyte EP35 DS3L Intel core duo E8400 Cooler Master Real Power M620w p.s another little problem i noticed is that, the graphics card fits into its own pci designated slot... then my wireless card is in the first pci slit but for some reason the other two pci slots do not work... any card is not recognised e.g sound card? any ideas. |
