No music/noise from my laptop

Hi TSF

Today I just was browsing through google and suddenly my music player wasn't giving me any noise

I checked if I muted, disabled, or did anything wrong with the sound drivers and nothing changed

I restarted and cleared my browsers cache many times and still nothing

I can't hear anything

Could I get some help please? It would be appreciated

Hello and Welcome to TSF...

Could you tell us what make/model is your laptop???

Did you check in Device Manager if you have yellow question marks or exclamation points next to hardware devices???

Keep us posted...

I have a Dell Studio 17

I checked in the Device Manager and there were no yellow question marks and exclamation points

Check in Control Panel, under Sound properties do you have everything set nice...
Do you see little speaker in system tray next to clock in bottom right corner or a display???
In Device manager, do you have Sound components listed???

Ah I found out why it wasn't working

My cousin was using the laptop and he tinkered some of the settings

The sound was disabled and I got it to work
