Windows Vista SP2 on a Latitude 630 Laptop

This OS is less than a week old!

Windows update suggested powershell and I took the bait. System locked up during that install but finished the others and I was able to restart. Hadn't heard from it since - 2 days ago. Today on startup I got the forever (hourglass) and I couldn't open taskmgr or anything else. I went & washed the dishes & let it run its course. I was able to CTRL-ALT-DEL and log off and after logging back in was able to check the Problem Reports & Solutions applet. Here's the report:

An Everything search found about 50 entries with powershell in the file/folder name. It is not listed in Add/Remove programs. Ooops - Programs and features.

I want to remove it so it will not attempt to install again.
