How can I download real player videos?
Suffice to say I've spend hours trying to solve this and am getting nowhere.
I want to download and save the rtsp real video streams from here: http://webcast.berkeley.edu/course_d...sid=1906978278 Preferably, I'd like to convert them to some other format, but anyways.... Here's what I have so far: * SMPlayer/MPlayer don't seem to have any way to save the files (they play just fine). * VLC either will not play the video (version 0.9) or messes up the audio (version 1.0). Also, it cannot seem to save the stream correctly. * I am aware of free real video codecs, but they have a history of some dubious legality (illegal keygen cracks), not to mention they only allow playing and not saving. * Real Player itself will not let me save the streams * I found 1 or 2 free programs that work, but they either contains spyware and/or they hook me into some kind of p2p network and distribute files. Re: How can I download real player videos?
Hi -
The format you're wanting to play is called ".RM", or "Real Media". It can be played using the appropriate "codecs", which can be found [HERE] (It's a whole new player). Or, you could alternatively download and install "Media Player Classic" which I highly recommend doing, I've had it for years and it works just fine. References: .RM - What is it? |
