Any Ideas on Multimedia File Management in Vista?
After recovering my system, i now have an opportunity to organise things better. Before, the Desktop, albeit
multiple desktops through Dexpot, was quite overcrowded. For multimedia production purposes, a flexible and powerful system of organisation is required, one that is intuitive, clear, and comprehensive. I use Vista Home Premium, so whatever system i create has to take account of that. I have no objection to customisation and enhancement of Vista's native capabilities, but would rather avoid applications that merely repackage these same capabilities for users who have some sort of partisan dislike of Vista or Microsoft or whatever. I am interested in the possibilities of file management regarding Vista Home Premium and multimedia production, specifically, but am intrigued by the philosophy of archiving, informatics, etc., generally. So, if anyone has any ideas on this topic, experiences, philosophies, practices, etc., it might help with the initial steps of organising a coherent and relevant system. Thank you.
