Problem with Microsoft update??
Hello, I have posted this request for help on another Forum without success,, I hope you can help. I wanted to send an E mail, I clicked on 'To' with no response. I then clicked on 'Contacts' and got the message 'Empty'. after a few minutes of panic, I decided to do a system restore. I selected a point two days previous after two updates from Microsoft had been installed. This didn't solve the problem, so after undoing my system restore, I seleced the point before the updates and got all of my contacts back. I waited a day and installed the updates again, I again lost my contacts.Has anyone else experienced this problem or could anyone advise me what to do about the updates (I am presuming it was the updates that caused the problem) I don't know what to do for the best. I am caught between keeping the updates and losing my contacts, or uninstalling them to get the contacts back, in so doing leaving my Computer vulnerable, or maybe damage has already been done. I have fully scanned my Computer with Avast anti virus, Superantispyware and Malwarebytes, they all show 'no infections.'

Re: Problem with Microsoft update??
I don't know what could be causing your problem, but might have a work-around.
If you export your contacts to a back-up file, you should be able to import/restore them after running the MS Updates.

Re: Problem with Microsoft update??
Thank you gistek for your help, I started my laptop this morning and all of my contcts were there. It must have been the restart that did it, I just don't remember whether or not I did restarts after installing the updates, I will have to look out for that in future.
