some dlls doesnt register in windows vista during installation of Rational rose2003
hi
i need to install rational rose. i have switched to windows vista, recently. but i cant install rational rose successfully. during installation error number 80040145 prompted and says that dllregisterserver failed. this problem occurred when installer tries to register rosedatamodeler.dll and wm-xml.dll files. by the way, installation completes in windowsXP perfectly. i tried Regsvr32 manually but it doesn't work, too. is these dlls not compatible with vista? how can register theme? thanks for any help |

Re: some dlls doesnt register in windows vista during installation of Rational rose20
Apparently Rational Rose isn't compatible with Vista, thus the trouble you're having. You can try running it in Virtual PC with XP installed on it.. I'm assuming you have an XP disk.
I would suggest running it in compatibility mode but I'm not sure that stands true if you can't even install it in the first place.
