Vista Speakers pop
I didnt know exacly where to post this so Im sorry if its in the wrong place.
I've also searched through a ton of threads and none of them fix my problem. My sound in Windows Vista 64 doesn't work. I have a 3-day old EVGA 790i FTW mobo. (onboard sound) I remember hearing crackling earlyer and now there is no sound. The only sound I can get out of the speakers is a pop at startup right after the Vista bootscreen, and a pop if I unmute and mute the sound. I have updated drivers to Realtek HD. I have a Linksys WMP54G PCI Wireless card installed. When this happened I had vista drivers. (broadcom I think?). I automatically updated afterwords and now I have linksys ver 4.1. I have heard PCI wireless cards have caused sound corruption. I have tried to go into linksys card properties in device manager to "Disable Bands" (a)....but there is no option to disable bands. I have disabled the wireless card. I have uninstalled the wireless card. I have taken the wireless card out. Still No Sound!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!!
