Re: HELP on HKEY_Users problem

Where did you get this link? This is a registry key entry. This is not a link to the internet.

This is the message that comes up on my screen in Word. I am so confused. This has never happened before. How can I just click on a normal email link and have it go to the website.

Re: Hkey_local_machine

How do I close this one. I went into two different forums, so I will know in the future not to do that.
THanks

Re: HELP on HKEY_Users problem

Hi, not looking good, I thing I noticed your registry key is skewered the wrong way this may be causing a read problem, (although I doubt it) still will not hurt.
Copy and paste all below into notepad then in notepad select "file" then "save as" in the box save as word.reg and save to desktop, locate the file and double click to merge into registry, reboot to take effect.

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.mht\OpenWithList\Microsoft Office Word\shell\edit\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Office\\OFFICE11\\WINWORD.EXE\" /n /dde"
"command"=hex(7):27,00,5d,00,67,00,41,00,56,00,6e,00,2d,00,7d,00,66,00,28,00,\
  5a,00,58,00,66,00,65,00,41,00,52,00,36,00,2e,00,6a,00,69,00,57,00,4f,00,52,\
  00,44,00,46,00,69,00,6c,00,65,00,73,00,3e,00,50,00,60,00,6f,00,73,00,2c,00,\
  31,00,40,00,53,00,57,00,3d,00,50,00,37,00,76,00,36,00,47,00,50,00,6c,00,5d,\
  00,58,00,68,00,20,00,2f,00,6e,00,20,00,2f,00,64,00,64,00,65,00,00,00,00,00
If this fails I suggest you post over here:-
