toshiba a305-6908 semi-touch button not working after i reinstalled windows

hi all. I recently got a toshiba a305-6908. above the keyboard there are six semi-touch buttons: mute, media,play,stop, back and next.

when the system came it came with vista home premium. when you touched the media button a toshiba media center use to come up.

I had to reinstall the premium to ultimate and when i did the media button stopped working. I guess i doont have the necessart\y software.

i have scanned the toshiba website and i am totally lost on how to get it back.
can anyone help?

Have you checked in Windows Defender to see if this may have been disabled there?

The program appears to be a Toshiba utility, so I'd visit their website and download the assorted utilities there. Reviewing the section of the User's manual may reveal some clues as to exactly which one it is.
