Semaphore time out

What the heck is error 0x80070079 " Semaphore time out period has expired" ?
This happens to me when I try to send large files to my Buffalo network attached storage device. The other three PC's on my network do not have this issue ruling out the network and the NAS device. Also, sometimes after getting the above error Windows Explores stops working and restarts. My wireless network card also looses its connection to the wireless router when getting the above error. The other three computers on the network never loose connection with the router also ruling out the router.
Any suggestions?

Re: Semaphore time out

What are the differences between the other 3 PC's and this one?

What errors can you find in the Event Viewer...Windows Logs...System logfile and Application logfile?

OS: Vista Ultimate

Re: Semaphore time out

The PC in question is running Vista Ultimate and the other two are running Vista Home Premium. All connected to the same network hardware and trying to connect to the same NAS device. The other two have no issues with this , only the vista ultimate machine. And, my machine only ( Ultimate) recently started having this problem.
Nothing unusual in the event viewer. This error always results in my wireless card loosing its connection with the wireless router and there will be "Errors" in the log speaking to the loss in connection but nothing specific to why it lost connection. Also, the other two pc's are connected to the network wireless and they have no issues, thus eliminating the router and the network as the culprit. I've uninstalled my wireless driver and re-installed and also updated to the latest driver with no luck.
This is a windows error, so considering the only difference is the OS and all other aspects like the router and the network being common, I have to believe it's the OS or a setting or an update somewhere?
Any ideas?
