Strangest thing happens on vista shutdown??

Core 2 quad
4 gig ram
400 gb hard

When i try to shutdown vista, nothing happens.

Instead i cannot open task manager.. when i try to open things on the desktop it says the file could not be found or something like that.. I cannot open cmd.. it gives me an error.

So pretty much I'm stuck on the main screen.. can't open anything, doesn't shutdown.

If you guys need me to install anything or look for anything just tell me please, i want to fix this problem asap.. it's really really annoying and i think i might have some malware. AVG and malwarebtyes anti malware don't find anything.

if you need more detail about a specific thing just ask.

help please?

If problems only a few days old, perform Vista System Restore - use a restore point prior to the trouble starting - like 4 or 5 days ago -
START | type rstrui
