Exclamation learning to program

hey,
i want to start to learn programing, so does anybody know where or how i can start learning (websites, books, etc.)
any help and advise will be great.

Im no pro by any means, but do you know what language you want to program in or what types of programs you are looking into making?

I am not entirely sure im thinking about python as i have been lookin around the internet and it seems to be ok, but what do i know eh.
As for the type of program i guess i want to start simple and get more complex as i go along, i dont really know what type of program i want to write but i sure want to know how to do it you know.

Try schaum's series for programming guide. or any Complete reference series of books for learning programming language. If you dont know the abcd of programming and your just a beginner then it will be best if you for the Dummies series. Eg "Learn C for dummies". Am not sure about the online resource but you can try youtube for online classes. I am learning PERL on youtube its so fruitfull...
