cannot log off and more

Hi trying to fix my daughters laptop, toshiba. it will not log off and shutdown it will not connect to internet cannot get tak manager to come up, etc. I did the restore to early date but did not help. Help please.

hi what was the problem you tried to fix what did you do to fix it what make and model of computer do you have please try to tell us as much as you can include any error codes beeps or messages you have had this could be of help in helping you

Hi its a Toshiba L300D notebook with Vista Home Premium. I have not been able to install downloads and when i ran windows installer it would freeze and error 0x8000ffff catastrophic failure would show. I tried to uninstall windows live but would just sit there so I did a system restore back before windows live. it is gone but did not help. thanks in advance.

ok try a sfc /scnw http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66...c-command.html to try to correct any system errors
