Re: my PC hangs some times without any reason
Hi -
Any BSODs or just freezing? Bring up Computer Management - START | compmgmt.msc Check the Event Viewer - Filtered Admin logs to start Check Reliab & Performance Take a look at WERCON - Problem Rpts & Solutions START | wercon.exe | start w/ Problem History How large are these files? Is system ventilated properly. Sounds like heat may be an issue. Even when system appears "IDLE" it is not. Look at Reliab Monitor during so-called idle periods. Vista takes advantage of such periods to perform routine housekeeping activities. Download and install SpeedFan - keep an eye on temps. http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php Regards. . . jcgriff2 . |

Also maybe something overloads your CPU/ Check out running processes in the Task Manager.
And do you perform basic maintenance, like disk cleanup and defragmentation? Here's a good site with computer optimization articles: http://www.auslogics.com/en/blog |

Re: my PC hangs some times without any reason
@Asphodel excellent point. A severly fragmented HDD could definitely be a problem here - Auslogics Defrag - good product - I use it!
Thanks. . . jcgriff2 . |
