I'm putting this here as my OS is Vista and most of my pc related problems seem to be with vistas compatiblity, so.

I'm trying to extract a file with winrar, and every single time I try, I get the same error message
! C:\Users\Public\Grand Theft Auto 4 - Vice City [v1.1 PC-Multilang NoCD].rar: Cannot set Grand Theft Auto 4 - Vice City\readMe.txt security data
! This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object.

I'll keep the details involving folders etc in, even though I don't think they're relevant as I've tried saving in several locations.

After reading online, I get told it's to do with user permissions, and creating new objects.
As I'm the admin of the PC, I'd assume I'd be able to save it anywhere, no?
Anyway, I tried moving the .rar into the same location as the Destination for the files, tried moving it into the folder for the user of my pc and extracting it there, and both of those ideas of mine didn't work, so I decided to ask help here.

any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated as this is the only way I can acquire the thing I've downloaded atm

well, I already own the game in 2 copies, except it's the wrong version to use a multiplayer client with.

It's not like I downloaded the game without paying for it first, I'm just downloading because the game didn't work correctly

I see it says 'illegal or otherwise' so it looks like I'm out of luck anyway, may as well lock this
