I installed Limewire but the program won't open!

So I installed Limewire and when I double click on the icon it loads but the program never opens I tried many times and left clicked and pressed open and nothing happens..why doesn't the program open..? Does anyone know..how can I fix this? I even tried downloading it from another place and the same thing..and I don't have any viruses on my comp. or anything like that..how can I fix this plz!
