Network running at max 100mbits, not 1000
Ok so I replaced the motherboard in my box and ever since then, I only get 100mbits rather than 1000. Yes this DOES make a difference to me as I have a 10 Gigabit (yes gig) connection at my university. I was wondering why windows no longer recognizes 1000 mbits even though my new mobo supports it, I am using the same ethernet cable and plugging it into the same jack in the wall....

hi and welcome check the drivers in device manager look for any yellow ! or red X if there are any you need to get updated drivers from the mobo mfr website to be honest i would do it anyway i would also check the cable for damage ie kinks or overstreching
