Re: Keyboard & Mouse Not Working.
Is this a desktop or laptop? Have you tried safe mode? Is this at home or office? The easiest fix I have found for this type of issue is using remote desktop to the pc and allowing the drivers to install.

Re: Keyboard & Mouse Not Working.
You said you tried a ps2 adapter. Do you have access to a keyboard and mouse that are ps2??

Re: Keyboard & Mouse Not Working.
Lets get back to the beginning. What occured when this started happening? New hardware or software? Updates? When the computer boots up, does the keyboard work long enough to enter any of the bios setups?

Re: Keyboard & Mouse Not Working.
Started happening last night..was trying to get a flash stick to work (somehow the usb mass storage driver wouldn't work)..went through loads of forums trying to get it to work..
One of the fourms suggested uninstalling the usb drivers..done that..mouse and keyboard stopped working..restarted...keyboard wouldn't work yet mouse would..reinstalled the drivers then mouse stopped working. Also just dug up a PS/2 keyboard..seems to work.. Device Manager only showed 2 Unknown Devices (Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller & Nvidia Nforce PCI System Management Bus driver) both wouldn't let me reinstall them.. |

Re: Keyboard & Mouse Not Working.
Sounds like the usb controller got hosed. Once you have it up an running, remove the ps2 keyboard and plug in the usb one as well as the usb mouse. It should install the drivers and you will be back up and running.
