Mistake receiving emails, but not sending with outlook 2007

I have been using outlook 2007 with vista for over 6 months now and everything was working fine. all of a sudden emails were not being sent (ie they remained in the outbox). i got an error box saying:
reported error (0x800CC78): cannot send the message. verify email address in your account properties. the server responded: 550 5.7.1 Access denied.
also, i am not able to delete any emails: from sent items folder - i get a window saying 'the folder is full', and if i try deleting from deleted items folder, i gert a window saying: 'The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook'.

can anyone please help me?? when i use the servers website to send emails, it works. however it is very inconvenient
