OS: Win Vista 32bit

Angry HP Pavillion m9080a (Vista) unusable -constantly crashing

Dear professionals,

I have had too many problems with my HP Pavillion Elite m0980a Desktop PC running on Windows Vista 32bit crashing, rebooting itself, graphic problems in games, unable to connect to wireless network and driver support problems to name a few. There are no virus' on there that I know of (I've looked many times) and it has got to the point where it now crashes on boot every single time! I've brought it back to my PC repairer 3 times were they have done a system restore and the problems only go away for a short period of time.

Is this happening to many computers running on Vista?
Is there any quick fix?

[ Main Question ] Do you think that if it is possible to find the neccessary drivers, would downgrading to XP fix this?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!
Matt
