Laptop meets BSOD and reboots
Hi,
I have had my computer for only one week now, but it seems to have some difficulties. I get some random blue screens of death, when I have loaded Vista - it reboots at works fine. First it was the memory, but it seems to been corrected. I have updated my graphic card again to fix, but didn't help. I have also ran the Windows memory tool, but it did not find any problems. I have installed all drivers from a cd, which I got from the company I bought my laptop, all though I have installede a mouse from Trust, which support Vista x64 accorinding to their site www.trust.com/15314 The BSOD are as: BCCode: 50 BCP1: FFFFF961002F7FF3 BCP2: 0000000000000000 BCP3: FFFFF960000D01A6 BCP4: 0000000000000005 OS Version: 6_0_6001 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Serveroplysninger: a10edeec-fc77-4a20-a8bc-c8db8f24237a BCCode: 1000007e BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005 BCP2: FFFFFA6000907059 BCP3: FFFFFA60019F5AA8 BCP4: FFFFFA60019F5480 OS Version: 6_0_6001 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Serveroplysninger: b75aa983-7c60-4b9f-a6e8-fd7a4dc5644f BCCode: 7f BCP1: 0000000000000008 BCP2: 0000000080050033 BCP3: 00000000000006F8 BCP4: FFFFF80001E7EAFF OS Version: 6_0_6001 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 768_1 Serveroplysninger: c84c43b3-054f-409e-ac67-449a59c77702 Can anybody help me? The computer works fine after the problem, but it is pretty ignoring. Thanks in advance. Last edited by Larsen89; 01-29-2009 at 04:38 AM. |

Re: Laptop meets BSOD and reboots
Hi -
A bugcheck 0x50 usually leans toward RAM or GUI/ video. The 2nd BSOD - 0x7e = a kernel mode exception and in your case the 1st parm is 0xc0000005 exception = a memory access violation. The 3rd bugcheck 0x7f = unexpected kernel mode trap. The 1st parm 0x8 = the CPU signaled a double fault because of multiple errors occuring - typically hardware, but it could be a kernel stack overflow. Varying bugchecks usually point to hardware as the problem. You can run the driver verifier and see if any drivers are flagged - START | type cmd.exe | right-click on cmd.exe uptop under programs | Run as Administrator | type verifier & hit enter - the Verifier screen will appear | do the following: Code:
1. Select 2nd option - Create custom settings (for code developers) 2. Select 2nd option - Select individual settings from a full list. 3. Check the boxes• Special Pool • Pool Tracking • Force IRQL checking4. Select last option - Select driver names from a list 5. Click on the Provider heading - sorts list by Provider 6. Check ALL boxes where Microsoft is not the Provider 7. Click on Finish 8. Re-boot If the Driver Verifier (DV) finds a violation, it will result in a BSOD. To see the status of Verifier - type verifier - select the last option on the first screen - "Display information about the currently verified drivers..". To turn Driver Verifier off - verifier /reset then re-boot. If you get a verifier-enabled BSOD, please post back. Regards. . . jcgriff2 . |
