How to receive .doc .

I have Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1. I use windows outlook express for e-mail. Someone tried to send me and e-mail in .doc file, and my outlook express won`t open it why?

You need to view it with the program that reads that extension. Microsoft Word is that program. save file to desktop. Open up Microsoft Word open up program. You can also right click the saved program and chose OPEN WITH and refer it to Microsoft Word

Hi, welcome to the forums could you clarify what email client you are using outlook express does not exist in Vista is it "outlook" or windows mail also are you sure the extension is not .docx and as such you cannot open it because you are using office 2003 MS in there wisdom changed the universal .doc to .docx in office 2007 If this is the case this converter will open it for you:-
