i need help

i purchased a laptop that was broken and after repairing it (the charger port was broke) i got it to boot up now and when it came to the main screen it has only one box with a name under it and the password spot i have tried finding out how to axcess the admin but no luck and i do not know the password or how to get it . any help logging into the admin would be helpful.

need more info what make model is it (new if no see seller for password if yes if still under warranty see manufacturer)without more info it is difficult to help much

it is acer aspire 3680 with windows vista home basic.

ok is it still under warranty if it is and has been repaired and come back with this problem they should sort it or can you contact seller for password in the meantime you can get info on your model here http://support.acer-euro.com/documents/index.html

no i repaired it and it is no longer under warranty. i bought it because it was broke and cheap. but now i cant login once i got it working. is there any way i could use a password reset disk from a friends computer to reset this one?

use the link in the previous post to see how to access your comp it should have a partition on it for recovery to factory settings
