Vista 64bit won't recognize USB mouse anymore

Hi guyz,
I have bought a new Sony VAIO FW285D laptop computer,when I plugged usb mouse to it, it worked but lagged sometimes but suddenly it stopped working & system says it can't recognize it! I have tried using different USB mice but it won't work! Help me please!

Update: I see a Unknown Device in Universal Serial Bus Controllers in Device Manager, even if nothing's plugged into USB ports.

I'm having the same problem. Logitech mouse has worked for 3 weeks now giving me same error message.

that's a little like my problem too (posted earlier) but my system won't recognise camera or phone any more when they're connected via USB

Guyz I managed to fix it, I hope you fix your problem to, here's my solution:
Right Click on My Computer icon, choose Properties, then Device Manager now under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, Uninstall everything & restart your computer! It will work now!!!
