Yet another Vista install Failure.
Hello there, I have recently upgraded my old PC with som new components:
Motherboard: Asus P5Q-E Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad q6600 Memory: Corsair xms2 4gb (2x2) Storage: Maxtor Diamondmax 22 500GB SATA/300 Video card: Ati Radeon X1800XL The problem is that Vista x64 installation freezes after the "windows is loading files" bar has finished, when the mouse pointer and backround image have appeared. After a few seconds the system reboots. The same problem occurs when i run the installation from within windows xp64, except it freezes after first reboot. I have tried disabling unnecessary stuff in bios and removing one of the memory modules without success. Any ideas? |
