Help with Vista installation
I'm a complete newbie trying to (re)install Vista on my Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop. I've finished the installation, but haven't installed any Dell drivers or software yet. Is it ok to insert my USB mouse and keyboard into my computer now, given that I haven't yet installed the Intel Chipset drivers? I have heard that the mouse and keyboard are detected, and apparently work fine, but cause compatibility problems later, due to being installed with Microsoft default drivers, rather than Intel ones. Is it better to insert them after driver installation is complete?
P.S. Obviously, I would not have posted this if I didn't have trouble working with a touchpad. |
