Re: Vista unable to use wirelss Internet

Oh My Goodness I just solve the problem and I’m so excited to let you all know.

I have Vista as well and was having the same issue with connecting to my router but not the Internet.

(Get to the Network Connections screen; sorry I don’t know a shorter way)
Go to your START menu
Click on NETWORK
Go the to the toolbar across the top and click on NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER
Look on the left and click on MANAGE NETWORK CONNECTIONS.
RIGHT CLICK on the Wireless Network Connection icon.
Go to PROPERTIES
** you may have to put in your Admin Password of just say Continue to the next popup**
In the list under “this connection uses the following items:’
CLICK on INTERNET PROTOCAL VERSION 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Select PROPERTIES near the lower right
See if you are setup for “Obtain an IP address automatically”
ALSO
Obtain DNS server address automatically

I wasn’t and this was my issue, then select OK.

You may have to do the same last steps for INTERNET PROTOCAL VERSION 6 (TCP/IPv6)
