Dual-boot x86 & x64 Vista?

http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/...vista-x64.aspx

Be sure you have x64 drivers for all devices - they must all be digitally signed.

Re: Double vista possible?

Just curious, but what would the benefits of doing this be?

Re: Double vista possible?

No dual boot here, but Vista x86 alive and well on system next to this x64. 2 reasons for me -

x64 will not run 16-bit apps.

x86 apps cannot access the x64 \system32 - they are re-directed to the x86 \syswow64. x86 needs to look at virtualized \system32 --> \sysnative for query of x64 \system32 contents. The reason x86 apps like HJT show "file missing" for x64. Same for x64 NT Registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node - x86 apps will loop for a while when accessing it.
