Computer Powers Down, Pulling my hair out

Good Morning!
Recently a friend of mine purchased a very fancy new Asus Laptop. The G71V (around 5000 australian dollars worth) and ever since he has had it, its been nothing but troubles. The machine powers down, without any warning, there is no blue screen and the only event that is logged within event viewer is the one i will list below.
We have flashed the bios, changed the ram, the hdd scans fine. Reloaded the machine, tried a different adapter a different battery and still the problem persists....
If anyone could help it would be amazing. As it stands we might have to send it back, i personally think its hardware related. But we would just like to alleviate any doubt before sending it back to Asus..

Here is the error code generated by the unexpected shutdown.

Re: Computer Powers Down, Pulling my hair out

Windows boots off, or does the machine just shut off?
If so, it sounds like a faulty power supply.

There is a chance it could be a over-heating issue. Easy way to rule it out would be to download asus probe software, from their website. Use it to monitor cpu and motherboard temps to see what the temps are when it shuts off.
