Why won't my media Autorun/play even when I select for it to do so?
I've made sure there is a check in the box for "use autoplay for all media and devices" from the Autoplay option in the Control Panel. However, I am no longer getting the little box that pops up everytime I insert a USB (where it asks you what action you would like to perform). Same with any CD's/DVDs that I insert in my DVD R/W drive, where I do not get a launch screen come up to install whatever is on the disc. I have to manually open the disc to search for an installer/setup or .exe.
Sometimes the DVD R/W drive thinks that a software disc is a blank disc and brings up a box telling me to date the disc before burning!!! It also fails to display any icon/avatar representative of the software that is in the drive and seems permanently stuck on showing the standard Drive icon with "0 bytes free of 15.4MB" underneath, regardless of what disc is in there... or whether the drive is empty. |
