DVD Movie Maker - Separating photo groups into scenes

I have used MS DVD Movie Maker for some time and with success. All slide show projects have related to individual groups of photos, ie: trips, hikes, etc. This time, I want to be able create a slide show of my grandson's four birthdays and to be able to separate each year as a different scene accessible from the main menu. Try as I may, I simply cannot figure out how to do this. Is there a way of accomplishing this feat and, if not, any suggestions???

I cant say as you could even do it with Movie Maker, but I know this works well and it's free.
