[SOLVED] Vista Basic Install Questions

I'm doing a clean install on a new hard drive of Vista Basic...

When I look for the Vista Basic OEM disk I see it says Dvd...

Will my laptop be able to read that right away? Will it have any sort of problems?

Re: Vista Basic Install Questions

Hi, your Vista DVD is bootable. Boot with the dvd in the drive (you may need to go into the BIOS to set the first boot device as cd rom). When prompted press any key to continue select the "install" option. Your dvd actually contains all versions of Vista (32 bit) you will select the install of vista basic if this is what you have purchased the licence for. Provided your system is Vista compatible you should have few problems.
