Hp_Recovery

So i want to format my HP_Recovery partition cuz i want to install vista and i need some space on it. But when i want to format it by right clicking on it and selecting format i when i press start i get an error saying "Windows Was Unable To Complete The Format"

Can any one help me format it is there another way to do it?

you cannot format the C partition from within windows
use the vista disk to format during the install
or do a upgrade install from within windows

HP has some instructions for you about the removal of the recovery partition. I don't recommend it unless it is damaged.

How about is there a way to make the Hp_recovery D: partition bigger? is't now 6.61GB is there a way to make it 7GB?
