Compaq F500

I want to thank you for getting back to me. I finally figured out to pust F11I pushed the button to lauch reinstall but I told me that it cannot find my hard drive. It says that access is denied on C. I've had this notebook just over 1yr. Had a new hard drive installed by HP, but now I cannot even reinstall, because it cannot find the drive. Please I need some help. This computer has been down more than up. I'm thinking about just putting XP proffesional in it because I'm so frustrated. One thing that is good, it isn't locking up the mouse pad. I look forward to hearing from you again. Thank you tamndaph@sbcglobal.net

Ok, what option are you using when you hit F11?
