Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 6920 laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium SP 1 installed.

Recently, maybe since about 3 days ago, my laptop has suddenly become laggy and I noticed that the CPU Usage fluctuates so quickly.
I tried to open the Task Manager and looked at it, and I found nothing suspicious at all. Sometimes, the System Idle Process took most of the CPU Usage, so did svchost.exe and some other processes.

At times, the CPU Usage could go to as high as 100% and most of the times, above 50% to 80%.
When I was using Firefox, it could take up RAM as much as 100,000 - 200,000 K. I usually open lots of tabs at once. So I guess this much of RAM is normal when opening many tabs.

The thing is, this just happened recently and it wasn't like this before. Things were normal before. So I know that something has happened to my laptop.

I've scanned my laptop before using McAfee antivirus that comes preinstalled in my laptop. It found nothing really destructive. And when I run HijackThis, I was also scanning my computer using Windows Defender.

I hope someone can help me work this out as I am quite confused right now. I've tried to google for answers, but I found nothing really helpful..
