Question [SOLVED] How Much More RAM Can I Install Here?

Hello people. I have a pretty simple question, which I should be able to find an answer to myself, but I'm lazy. I just bought a Dell Inspiron 518. It will have a 32-bit operating system on it. I bought it with Windows Vista Home Basic SP1, because I have an OEM Windows Vista Ultimate DVD, so I'll upgrade it. I bought it with 3GB of RAM memory. How much more can I do here? The configurations are: 2 x 1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz, and 2 x 512MB DDR2 SDRAM at 800 MHz. I'm just sick on my head and want, if possible, to install 4GB. Is there a point?? I read somewhere that a 32-bit Vista, sees the maximum of 3 as is. So that is why I'm asking. There is no point for me to take them 2 x 512s and install 2 more 1GB, is there?? Thank you all for your help.
