Monitor: Out of range error

Alright I accidentally turned the resolution on my monitor all the way up..... causing it to go "out of range" I tried rebooting the computer, and tried safe mode, but I cant get into safe mode either. All I get is "Out of Range".

I read a few posts on other forums with people having this problem, the solution was to go into safe mode and fix it in all the ones i saw. But i cant get into safe mode... what should i do?

Thanks,
Kevin

Edit:

Things I tried:

Unplugging the monitor then resetting it.

Booting in safe mode.

Tried Navigating to the display settings without seeing the screen.

Re: Monitor: Out of range error

you could try taking the monitor to someone you know with a pc and resetting it on theirs, a local pc shop might help you out.

Re: Monitor: Out of range error

i'm not sure if a restore will work but you should be able to do a restore by hitting f10 or f11 and selecting repair your computer then system restore without the need for disk.
